Faith Academy
Our School

What is the purpose of education? Is it to increase your chances of having a successful financial future? Is it to get a diploma that increases your prestige and improves your public image? Is it to be better equipped to go to impoverished nations and make a difference in the world? Although all these are legitimate achievements we could expect from an education we believe they are only by products of it.

We believe the purpose of a true education is to academically train and build a child in God’s character and wisdom, and this is our purpose in Faith Academy. Course subjects like Reading, Math, Social Studies and Science should be built on the presuppositions that God exists, that God speaks, that He created the universe, that He created man and that He has commissioned educators to teach children His ways. If you can relate to this philosophy and have a passion for teaching children and teenagers, then Faith Academy is the place for you.

We had friends and supporters get together in Zambrano on Saturday, February 4th to thank God for allowing us to finally open Faith Academy during a short ceremony. Classes began on Monday, February 20th, 2012.

We are actively searching for teachers to come serve the 40 children of our Prince of Peace Children’s Home by helping them learn through the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) Curriculum.

We are excited and thankful to God that we are seeing another of our dreams come true! We have desired for many years to have our own Christian bilingual school right here in Zambrano. For many years we have sacrificed and sent our children a hour away to the city every day to receive a good education, but thanks to God and those who have seeded into this ministry we will no longer have to make that huge sacrifice!

We began remodeling this house in April 2011...

...and less than a year afterward God had already provided for all the funds and resources we needed to finish building...

... furnishing the school...

... training our staff on the ACE Curriculum...

...and signing a historical treaty with the Ministry of Education that allows us to certify our children’s education through an innovative Honduran curriculum called EDUCATODOS. (In the picture below, Franklyn Pineda, our foundation's representative, signs the treaty next to the First Lady of Honduras, Rosa Elena de Lobo.)

We began a new season on February 20th, 2012 when actual operations  started and we now encounter new challenges in terms of monthly support for our kids’ academic materials, continuous training and certification of our staff, and other operational expenses.

If you would like to support a child with $75 a month, you can do it by scrolling to the bottom of this page and clicking on our PayPal link. Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
